Makefield Road Village is a residential subdivision of approximately 150 detached, single family homes built. Approximately 50 homes were built primarily during the 1950s. 100 homes were built in the 1980s. Median age for the develipment is ca. 1987.
The majority of Lower Makefield Ranchers were built from the 1940s through the 1980s. However, examples from both later and earlier can be found. Two ranchers dating to ca. 1890 are located along River Road. Median interior living space is approximately 2,000 sq. ft. Median lot size is slightly less than 1/3rd acre.
There are no homes currently for sale or under agreement in the neighborhood.
Over the past 12 months there were 2 resales in Makefield Road Village, both on Big Oak Road; a 3 bedroom, 1-1/2 bath split level on a 1/3 acre lot sold for $275,000; the picture split level is a 4 bedroom, 2‑1/2 bath, 2,000 sq. ft. home that sold for $300,000.
The record resale price for a Makefield Road Village home was obtained 7 years ago ($410,000). The 6 bedroom home on Patrick Lane with 2 full and 2 half baths was sold in June, 2010.
